About the Foreclosure Photo Project
The foreclosure crisis is a devastating symptom of an unregulated economic system. Federal banking regulators like the Federal Reserve Board are tasked with the safety and soundness of our economy. A lack of regulation in the mortgage financial industry has encouraged bad loans, and led to millions of American families facing foreclosure.
The Foreclosure Photo Project reveals the human suffering and community devastation spawned by an unregulated mortgage industry. The Save the American Dream campaign is working for economic justice and calls on the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to balance efforts to stabilize credit markets with equally bold action to provide relief to families swindled by subprime lending and communities devastated by the foreclosure crisis.
